Flint, of brocade fabric with crepe satin lining and
velveteen cuffs, pockets and lapel flaps.
This coat is typical of Justaucorps of the 1730’s with
a looser body fit and extremely full skirting which
gives you maximum swing to yer swagger! Gold
braid edging on generous split cuffs with full length
sleeves.(¾ length sleeves are available upon
request and would look best with a frilly cuffed
pirate shirt).
Metalic flat braid trimmed faux buttonholes. Tail
split has buttons and faux buttonholes down each
side. Large deep pockets with functional button
holes on the pocket flaps.
Due to the yardage involved, this can be a weighty
coat. We recommend lightweight brocades. Add a
handsome gilet (waistcoat) in a contrasting color
and there will be no denyin’ who's the Captain!
