Properly worn with hoopslip or panniers.
Bodice – Waist length, long pointed basque waist.
Lined, moderately boned, back lacing. Square or
rounded neckline. Front panel (stomacher) either
contrast or matching.
Sleeves – Attached, fitted at upper arm. Elaborate
lower sleeve, layers of ruffles, circles or drops.
Skirt – Overskirt is slit and pleated directly into
bodice. Overskirt can also be slit in back, to lift
over panniers at sides. Underskirt is pleated into
flat waistband.
